About this limited edition photograph:
The photograph “Pulpit Rock Sunrise” was created at Pulpit Rock in Will Baker Park in Decorah, Iowa.
I arrived at Pulpit Rock while the sky was still dark. Using my headlamp to guide me, I setup my Canon 80d camera with a Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II lens on my tripod looking straight east at the beautiful Pulpit Rock. My goal that morning was to create a timelapse of the sunrise, starting with a black sky. In the end I took about 300 photographs for that timelapse, and Pulpit Rock Sunrise is one of those 300 photographs. You can see the finished timelapse video, here:
