About this limited edition photograph:

The aerial drone photograph “Paddling Bluffton Bluffs” was created on the Upper Iowa River near Bluffton, Iowa.

I captured this aerial drone photograph using a XIAOMI Mi drone while filming for the movie Decoding the Driftless in 2018. Two family members, my friend and I are canoeing below while I am piloting the drone. This photograph was an accident, as I pressed the “take photo” button instead of the “start filming” button. The sky in the photograph is overexposed since I did not have the drone’s camera settings set to the correct exposure for photographing, but I am pleased with the overall composure and where the canoes appear in the frame.
