The photograph “Grand Portage” was created at Grand Portage State Park in Minnesota (on the U.S./Canada border).

Grand Portage State Park is a state park at the northeastern tip of Minnesota, USA, on the Canada–United States border. It features a 120-foot waterfall, the tallest in the state, on the Pigeon River.

I photographed this waterfall using my Canon 80d camera, Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II lens, Hoya ND400 filter, Induro Grand Turismo CGT-114 tripod and PhotoClam NS-38 ballhead. The 6 second long exposure allowed me to achieve a smooth look to the falling water. (f/8, 6 seconds, ISO-100).
