About this limited edition photograph:
The photograph “Coldwater Cave- Gallery Room” was created in a private cave located in Winneshiek County, Iowa.
I created this photograph by setting up my Canon 80d camera with a Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II lens on a tripod that sat on a rock, keeping it out of the flowing cave stream. In the pitch dark I walked downstream along the right cave wall and popped my Yongnuo YN560 IV handheld flash. I repeated this process by walking about ten feet in the pitch dark and popping the flash until I had passed the large flowstone formation at the end called Big Bertha. Then I turned around and carefully walked through the darkness back to my camera to close the shutter, and complete exposing the photograph.
