About this limited edition photograph:

The light painted photograph “Fall Into Another Dimension” was created on the Dug Road/Trout Run Trail in Decorah, Iowa.

The beautiful bronze sculpture, Walking with Birds, was created by Minneapolis based sculptor- Douglas Freeman.

To create this light painted photograph I placed my Canon T3i camera on a tripod and I used a long exposure of 27 seconds- one of my shortest camera exposures for a light painting to date. I created the white spiral of light by standing carefully behind the sculpture so that my body didn’t create a silhouette and I spun a bundle of white LEDs on a string in a circle. After a couple of seconds of spinning I stuck a finger out so that the string would wrap around my finger, and this in turn made the white LEDs spiral inward. I then walked around to the camera side of the sculpture and cast light onto it using a flashlight and a purple colored gel filter. 

This photograph came off my camera as-is, and involved zero post-processing or Photoshop.
